League recap: North Augusta tops Aiken to extend winning streak

AAAA Region V recap Oct. 30, 2012

North Augusta extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region V this week by beating Aiken, 41-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Yellowjackets.

North Augusta took down the Fighting Green Hornets 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Lexington's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Will Hunter has thrown for 1553 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Altyree Walker has 26 catches for 492 yards. Grayson Chumley leads the league in rushing with 788 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Dutch Fork and Dan Pippen's team. The Silver Foxes enters the game ranked 12th in the state, while the Yellowjackets ranks 19th.

Dutch Fork led AAAA Region V in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Lexington.
