Softball Recap: Rancho Falls Short of Spring Valley in the Playoffs

Rancho and Spring Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Rancho had to settle for second. They lost 15-2 to the Grizzlies. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rancho saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklynn Braun, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Spring Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Rancho nor Spring Valley have any future games scheduled.
