Game recap: Allen High School Football Team defeats McKinney

MCKINNEY, Texas - Kyler Murray threw two touchdowns and ran for two more as Allen (Texas) bested McKinney (Texas) 67-14 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Murray in the first quarter, the Eagles led 43-14 at the half.

Allen expanded its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored three times in the third, including once on a Murray touchdown pass to Cameron Calcote.

Marcus Ward and Murray ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Lions.

Robert Somborn played well for McKinney. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.



The Eagles had given up an average of 14.1 points prior to the contest. MHS's 14 points were well below its season average of 36.5 per game.

With the win Allen extended its winning streak to four games.

In a 5A Region II District 10 game next week McKinney (5-4) takes on Boyd, and Allen (8-1) will go up against Plano also in a 5A Region II District 10 game.
