Basketball Recap: Mississinewa Comes Up Short

Mississinewa lost against Pendleton Heights back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mississinewa Indians fell to the Pendleton Heights Arabians 53-48. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loss or not, Mississinewa got some senior leadership from Tyvon Jacobs and Kiontaye Woods. Jacobs went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points, while Woods dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave Woods a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayveon Fetz, who posted ten points.

Pendleton Heights' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Mozingo, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points. Joseph Estes was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Mississinewa now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Pendleton Heights, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Coming up, Mississinewa will face off against Frankton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Frankton will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Mississinewa surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pendleton Heights, they will challenge Whiteland at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
