Myers Park will head into Tuesday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 42) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 victory over Palisades. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 23, 2024.

Myers Park relied on the efforts of Ayo Awosanya, who went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks, and Bram Early, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Awosanya a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Loch Brezeault, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell entered their tilt with Berry on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They managed a 53-49 victory over the Cardinals. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Cardinals are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Myers Park is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Ardrey Kell, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
