Basketball Recap: Central Valley Academy Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Central Valley Academy won the last time they faced Proctor, and Calvin Jacquays did his part to make sure it happened again. The Central Valley Academy Thunder walked away with a 62-50 win over the Proctor Raiders on Tuesday thanks in part to Jacquays, who went 11 of 19 on his way to 25 points and three steals. The matchup was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Ryan Luke, who posted eight points along with five assists and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Central Valley Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Proctor, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Central Valley Academy has already played their next contest (against Camden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Proctor will look to defend their home court on Friday against Whitesboro at 7:00 p.m.
