Volleyball Recap: Lake Country Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lake Country Lutheran lost against Brookfield East back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lightning took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Adeleine Catlin paced Lake Country Lutheran's offense, picking up five kills. Catlin got some help from Grace Luedke and her 13 assists. Catlin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Brookfield East can attribute much of their success to Amorina Compean-Costello, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Compean-Costello has posted since back in October of 2024.

Lake Country Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brookfield East, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Lake Country Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kettle Moraine Lutheran on the 29th. As for Brookfield East, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Slinger on the 29th.
