Volleyball Recap: Spring Hill Comes Up Short

Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kaliyah Phifer paced Spring Hill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Phifer got some help from Elina Douglas and her 19 assists.

Bishop Carroll can attribute much of their success to Brea Martin, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Martin has posted over her last eight matchups.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Bishop Carroll, the win keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

Spring Hill has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Bonner Springs on the 30th. As for Bishop Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Maize South on the 27th.
