The Global Concepts Gators will head out to take on the Eden Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Global Concepts has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight losses, while Eden will come in with six straight wins.

Global Concepts' defeat came about despite a quality game from Eric Davis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jose Castro, who posted nine points and five assists.
Even though they lost, Global Concepts smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Eden beat Kennedy 79-74 on Friday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Bears are ranked 750th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eden's win came from a few key players Global Concepts will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kobe Genco, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Krencik, who went 6 for 8 en route to 21 points and five boards.
Eden's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Global Concepts, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Global Concepts has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 39.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Eden struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Global Concepts came out on top in a nail-biter against Eden when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 67-65. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Krencik, who went 10 of 21 on his way to 34 points along with seven boards and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Global Concepts still be able to contain Krencik? There's only one way to find out.
