Softball Recap: Hortonville Comes Up Short

Hortonville fell victim to Wisconsin Lutheran and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Polar Bears were not able to get on the board.

Hortonville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

Coming up, Hortonville will challenge Fond du Lac at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Kettle Moraine Lutheran on the 12th.
