After losing to Lake Gibson the last time they met, Kathleen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Red Devils snuck past the Braves with a 63-59 win on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Red Devils have beaten the Braves on their court since November 29, 2022.

Kathleen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayshaun Frederick led the charge by putting up 19 points along with eight boards and six assists. Rashard Kelly was another key player, earning 15 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Kathleen is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Lake Gibson, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Kathleen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-50 win against McKeel Academy on the 12th. As for Lake Gibson, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bartow at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will need to watch out since the Yellow Jackets have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
