Basketball Recap: Dixon Takes a Loss

Dixon suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Foothill Mustangs, falling 77-51. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 62-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Foothill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tomari Harris out in front who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points and three steals. The matchup was Harris' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelton Johnson, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Dixon and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Foothill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Dixon will venture away from home to face off against Rio Linda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Foothill, they will host West Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
