Basketball Recap: Grape Creek Takes a Loss

Grape Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Sweetwater Mustangs 73-32. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 59-16 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grape Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Sweetwater, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Grape Creek will challenge Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sweetwater, they will take on Merkel at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sweetwater knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Merkel likes a good challenge.
