Soccer Recap: Weld Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley on Tuesday, Weld Central came back down to earth. The Rebels lost 6-0 to the Longmont Trojans on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Weld Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Longmont are ranked 89th).

Weld Central dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Longmont, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Weld Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Frontier Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Longmont will challenge rival Fort Morgan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
