Baseball Game Preview: Eagle's View Warriors vs. St. Johns Country Day Spartans

The Eagle's View Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eagle's View's offense. They came up short against Keystone Heights on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.79 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 11-6 to Parkview.

Nick Bowden and TJ Sunderhaus stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bowden got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Sunderhaus scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Harris, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Eagle's View's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for St. Johns Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Eagle's View might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from St. Johns Country Day when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
