Volleyball Recap: Amador's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

While Amador didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Rosemont Wolverines 3-0 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Buffaloes as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

While Amador won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 25-19.

Amador can attribute much of their success to Faith Del Real, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Del Real has posted over her last three matchups.

Amador's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Rosemont, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Amador will square off against rival Galt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rosemont is set to take on their familiar foe Union Mine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
