Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Elba Lancers

Notre Dame and Elba are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, Notre Dame earned a 54-47 victory over Williamsville North.

Notre Dame found their leader in sophomore Sofia Falleti, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards. Falleti's morning made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gianna Falleti, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Elba put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Kendall with a sharp 58-34 win.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Elba, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Notre Dame beat Elba 68-55 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Notre Dame since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
