Baseball Game Preview: Omaha Central Eagles vs. Millard North Mustangs

Omaha Central is 1-7 against Millard North since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Omaha Central came up short against Westview and fell 9-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eli Weber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Millard North faced Millard West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Omaha Central now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Millard North, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Omaha Central beat Millard North 8-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
