Softball Recap: Evansville Mater Dei Beats Evansville Harrison for Their Third Straight Win

Evansville Mater Dei entered their tilt with Evansville Harrison on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Addi Boots tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Macy Lankford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Baylee Maurer, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one run.

Evansville Mater Dei always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evansville Harrison only posted an OBP of .222.

Evansville Mater Dei's record is now 11-8. As for Evansville Harrison, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
