Basketball Game Preview: Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks vs. Sunnydale Academy

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool has gone 10-0 against Sunnydale Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will head into Saturday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 22) and two weeks ago they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Arthur-Okaw Christian out 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mavericks have posted since November 9, 2024.

Kyle Aulgur was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 16 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Hayes, who posted 12 points and seven steals.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sunnydale Academy beat Heartland Christian Academy 48-43 back in December of 2024.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Sunnydale Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool strolled past Sunnydale Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 55-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
