Basketball Recap: Mt. Olive Takes a Loss

Mt. Olive played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 57-34 to the Roxana Shells.

Despite the loss, Mt. Olive still got an impressive performance from Lauren Bailey, who posted 23 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Bella Lueken, who scored four points.

Mt. Olive's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roxana, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mt. Olive will head out to take on Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Roxana, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Father McGivney Catholic at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
