Volleyball Recap: Niles North Beats Vernon Hills for Their Third Straight Victory

Niles North had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Vernon Hills Cougars by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16.

Gino Hamoy paced Niles North's offense, picking up nine kills. Hamoy got some help from Horia Beca and his 26 assists.

Niles North pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Vernon Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-24 record this season.

Niles North will take on Barrington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vernon Hills, they will take on Glenbrook South in a tournament on Friday.
