Rio Rico has gone a perfect 10-0 against Amphitheater recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Rio Rico fell victim to Douglas and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one run.

Rudy Garavito spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

Meanwhile, Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to Empire.

Rio Rico has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Amphitheater, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Rio Rico took their win against Amphitheater when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 27-0 score. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
