Basketball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Edgerton Crimson Tide, falling 74-50. The Cheesemakers were probably out for revenge after losing 82-58 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Edgerton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will face off against Evansville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe is facing Evansville at the right time seeing as Evansville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Edgerton, they will challenge Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Edgerton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Milton likes a good challenge.
