Basketball Recap: Triangle Math & Science's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Triangle Math & Science and Columbia squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Triangle Math & Science had to settle for second. They took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Wildcats.

Ny'Keyia Basnight had an outrageously good game for Columbia as she went 7-for-9 to rack up 16 points and five boards. Columbia is 4-1 when Basnight posts 15 or more points, but 7-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Riely Taylor, who posted nine points.

Triangle Math & Science's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8. As for Columbia, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Triangle Math & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they have already played their next game, a 60-13 defeat against East Bladen on the 28th.
