Baseball Game Preview: Center Cougars vs. Lincoln Fighting Zebras

Center hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Center will challenge Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. Center is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Center is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Colfax on Saturday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 9-1.

Center saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Hintz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hintz has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played.

Meanwhile, while it was Lincoln who put the first points on the board on Monday, it was Vista del Lago who put up more. Lincoln fell 7-2 to Vista del Lago. The Fighting Zebras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Center couldn't quite get it done against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can Center avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
