Soccer Game Preview: Bessemer City vs. Burns

The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Burns Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bessemer City's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bessemer City fell victim to East Gaston and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Burns has been on a difficult stretch since their win on February 26. They came up short against Highland Tech on Thursday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Burns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Highland Tech are ranked 128th).

Bessemer City's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Burns, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2.
