Basketball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 56-47 to the Indian Lake Lakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 61-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Shawnee now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Indian Lake, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6.

Shawnee and Indian Lake could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Shawnee will take on Jonathan Alder at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 365 places (465 vs. 100). Similarly, Indian Lake (ranked 444th) will meet London (ranked 198th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
