Basketball Recap: Oakhill Christian Takes a Loss

Oakhill Christian played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 68-18 loss at the hands of the Rock County Christian Eagles. The Royals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

When it comes to explaining why Oakhill Christian lost, don't look at Elijah Harman. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and 11 rebounds. Harman has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played.

Rock County Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Macen Osland out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. Those 21 points gave Osland a new career-high. Gideon Ukwuorji was another key player, going 7 of 11 on his way to 14 points along with four blocks and three steals.

Oakhill Christian's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Rock County Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Oakhill Christian will take on Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock County Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-37 win against Madison Area Homeschool Sports Tigers on the 11th.
