Softball Recap: West Holmes Knights vs. Lexington Minutemen

If West Holmes was riding high off their 13-7 takedown of Garaway last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Holmes Knights took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen on Tuesday. West Holmes was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lexington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Zalina Proper was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and a double. Peyton Carathers was another key contributor, going 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

On Lexington's side, the team relied heavily on Jillian Morr, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Thornton, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.
