Basketball Game Preview: Yuba City Honkers vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

The Yuba City Honkers will square off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Yuba City was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Roseville. The Honkers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Xavier Armstrong, who posted eight points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. Abhimanyu Mehta was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Twelve Bridges, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past River Valley, posting a 67-40 victory. The Raging Rhinos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Yuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Twelve Bridges, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
