Westview owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They skirted past the Mountainside Mavericks 1-0. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The win (which was Westview's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mountainside, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westview is set to face off against their familiar foe Aloha at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.1, the Warriors 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Mountainside will take on rival Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
