Softball Recap: Snake River Takes a Loss

Snake River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-4 to the Preston Indians. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Snake River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neiley Mangum, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Jaycee Later also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Snake River's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Preston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Snake River will welcome Marsh Valley at 4:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Preston, they will be playing at home against Shelley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Russets have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
