Softball Recap: Salesian College Preparatory Pride vs. Berean Christian Eagles
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Salesian College Preparatory couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Berean Christian Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Pride were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
DeAmor Coleman put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Coleman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gloria Alcaire made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Salesian College Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Berean Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
As of now, neither Salesian College Preparatory nor Berean Christian have any future games scheduled.
