Basketball Game Preview: Greater Vision Academy Lions vs. Combine Academy Global Goats

The Greater Vision Academy Lions will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Combine Academy Global Goats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greater Vision Academy will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 82-36, which was the final score in Greater Vision Academy's tilt against Winston Salem Christian back in November.

Meanwhile, Combine Academy Global earned a 52-44 win over Winston Salem Christian on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Goats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Lions are ranked 31st).

Greater Vision Academy better focus on containing Sterling Bohn and Xavier Eddington as the pair were huge in Combine Academy Global's win. Bohn went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds, while Eddington dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Eddington is becoming a predictor of Combine Academy Global's success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 5-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Simbarashe Bete, who posted six points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Combine Academy Global and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Greater Vision Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
