Baseball Recap: Maple Mountain Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Maple Mountain won the last time they faced Spanish Fork and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Eagles never let the Dons get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

The result came thanks to Jeremiah Hall's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maple Mountain saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mick Winward, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Maple Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Spanish Fork, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Maple Mountain will take on Cedar Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Spanish Fork, they will face off against Wasatch at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wasps will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Dons surely won't give up without a fight.
