Basketball Recap: Williamstown Comes Up Short

Williamstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Villa Madonna Vikings and fell 51-20. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Demons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-29 last Saturday.

Leading Villa Madonna to victory were Mary Chadwick and Megan Mahaney. Chadwick went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points and five steals, while Mahaney posted six points and five steals. That's the most points Chadwick has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Nine, who had nine points and three steals.

Williamstown's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Villa Madonna, they moved to 9-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Williamstown will square off against Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Villa Madonna, they will face off against Bellevue at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
