Baseball Recap: Durant Takes a Loss

Durant has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 12-4 to the Plant Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Durant saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Hughes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Durant and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Plant, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Durant will challenge Lake Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
