Baseball Game Preview: DasCHE Spartans vs. North Texas C Crusaders

The DasCHE Spartans will square off against the North Texas C Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DasCHE has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while North Texas C will come in with five straight victories.

DasCHE came up short against Trinity Valley on Wednesday, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Cameron Melerine made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Luke Mcclure also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, everything went North Texas C's way against Faustina Academy on Tuesday as North Texas C made off with a 16-9 win. Considering the Crusaders have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

North Texas C let Charlie Loob and Noah Pasatieri run wild. Loob went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Pasatieri went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Pasatieri is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Summers, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

North Texas C always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faustina Academy only posted an OBP of .378.

North Texas C's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for DasCHE, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
