Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends James Logan's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but James Logan unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Newark Memorial Cougars by a score of 6-5. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jordan Medina was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of James Logan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Evan Yau was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

James Logan's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-7. As for Newark Memorial, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

While James Logan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
