Softball Recap: Copper Hills Comes Up Short

Copper Hills dropped their record down to 8-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 9-0 to the Bingham Miners. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Grizzlies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kennedy Jennings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks.

As for Bingham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.

On Bingham's side, Shyann Banasky was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave Banasky a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracelyn Lemke, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Copper Hills has already played their next game, a 6-5 defeat against Hunter on the 19th. As for Bingham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-2 win against Westlake on the 19th.
