Jackson Day had won two straight games and Laylah Toscano did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Jackson Day Mariners simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls 74-11 thanks in part to Toscano, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 11 steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.8% shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Tralyn Phillips, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Jackson Day's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jackson Day beat Valor Preparatory Academy by a score of 93-18 on Wednesday.
