Game recap: Rockwall-Heath's early lead enough to beat Rockwall

Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, Texas) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 45-12 win over Rockwall (Texas).

The Hawks scored 14 points in the first quarter. Rockwall-Heath scored on a touchdown run by Rico Henderson, a touchdown, a Shyon Motlagh touchdown run and a touchdown.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Henderson in the first quarter, RH led 17-6 at the half.

The Hawks expanded their lead to 26 points entering the fourth quarter. Rockwall-Heath scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Kevin Wharry.

The Yellowjackets' Team Take a knee played well. He threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.



RH's most effective player was Chase Schultz. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.

A 21-13 Rockwall-Heath victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

In a 5A Region II District 12 game next week Rockwall (1-4) takes on Horn, and Rockwall-Heath (4-1) will go up against Mesquite also in a 5A Region II District 12 game.
