Volleyball Game Preview: Newcastle Bobcats vs. Aspermont Hornets + How To Watch

The Newcastle Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Aspermont Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aspermont took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Newcastle, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Newcastle took on Seymour on Tuesday. The Bobcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Newcastle had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-14, 26-24, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Aspermont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Knox City.

While Aspermont ultimately came up short, they really made Knox City work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-19.

Aspermont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Newcastle, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Everything went Newcastle's way against Aspermont in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Newcastle made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
