Soccer Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale Comes Up Short

St. Benedict at Auburndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the St. George's Gryphons, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, St. Benedict at Auburndale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while St. George's are ranked 35th).

St. Benedict at Auburndale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. George's, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Benedict at Auburndale will take on St. Agnes Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. George's, they will challenge Collierville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. George's will need to watch out since Collierville have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
