It was a good run, but Montini Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Patrick Shamrocks. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Shamrocks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Montini Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 20-15. As for St. Patrick, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-15.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Montini Catholic will challenge Marmion at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Patrick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Golder at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.9 runs per game on average), something the Shamrocks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
