Volleyball Recap: Central Private Takes a Loss

If Central Private was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Iberville on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redhawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sulphur Golden Tors on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redhawks of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Sulphur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Petross, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Petross has posted over her last six matchups.

Central Private's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Sulphur, their record is now 9-17.

Coming up, Central Private is taking a road trip to square off against False River at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sulphur, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Benton on the 4th.
