Baseball Recap: Olive Branch Takes a Loss

Olive Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-3 to the Grenada Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 last Tuesday.

Darnell Harris Jr. was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Olive Branch: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Marcus Jamison, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Olive Branch's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Grenada, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-7.
