Softball Game Preview: Oregon Panthers vs. DeForest Norskies

The Oregon Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the DeForest Norskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Oregon came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Watertown by a score of 8-6 on Monday. It was the first time this season that the Panthers let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, DeForest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Janesville Craig. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Norskies have suffered since April 24th.

Oregon's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 21-2. As for DeForest, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything went Oregon's way against DeForest in their previous meeting back in April, as Oregon made off with a 9-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
