Basketball Recap: Mullen Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mullen can now relate to. The matchup between the Mullen Broncos and the Sandhills/Thedford Knights didn't end well, with the Mullen Broncos falling 51-35. The Broncos' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it 11 in a row.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Werner, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Brandon Hardin was another key player, putting up nine points.

Mullen's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Sandhills/Thedford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-12.

As of now, neither Mullen nor Sandhills/Thedford have any future games scheduled.
